Punjab government will provide connectivity to all its departments, including hospitals and health networks, police patrolling posts, and all city district governments in the province.
In this connection, the Punjab IT Board of government of Punjab has selected Comstar for the supply, installation and integration of Direct Broadband Satellite Hub and 150 remotes, stated a press release. The network will be used to provide real time broadband connectivity using the state of the art VSAT to remote areas in Punjab enabling applications like video surveillance, internet, intranet, data transfer. “This development will allow the government department to enhance the delivery of services to the citizens and it will provide information to citizens in an efficient manner”, it was stated. Comstar ISA Ltd. was awarded the tender after an extesive tender evaluation process, stated the press release. Infosat Communications Inc. of Canada in Comstar’s sponsor and strategic partner, and is fully involved in this project. –APP
